How would you like to spend Christmas than on the Sekonyer River Borneo with Riverdale star Nathalie Boltt. That’s right! Penelope Blossom from the hit Netflix series Riverdale, is heading to Borneo with Palm Oil Investigations founder Lorinda Jane to celebrate Christmas and New Year.
Nathalie is POI’s first ambassador and is extremely passionate about the palm oil issue and the critically endangered species that are facing extinction due to its production. So we are taking Nathalie to Borneo for a very special Christmas / New Year tour, so she can visit the beauty and also witness the impact.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for 12 Riverdale fans to join us on this life changing adventure to the orangutans and their jungle homes and learn about the issues they are facing with habitat destruction due to the production of palm oil. AND help with raising urgently needed funds to support orangutan conservation. What an extraordinary way to spend your Christmas!
Our destination for this trip is the jungles of Central Kalimantan (Indonesian Borneo) to see the orangutan in its natural environment. We may come across Tom, the dominant male at the famous Camp Leakey feeding station. We will see both reintroduced and wild orangutans as well as a host of other rain forest animals. The Tanjung Puting National Park is home to rare and interesting species including the proboscis monkey and the false gavial, a strange looking crocodile. But, it is the orangutan that most people come here to visit. It's sheer beauty and passive demeanour endears one of our closest relatives to our hearts.
After visiting this wonderful animal's natural environment, we will head to back to Bali and for those keen to extend their stay enjoy a 3 day extension including celebrating New Years Eve on the beach in Bali. If you are interested in adventure and giving back to the world at the same time, then you have got to be part of this expedition.
